Apple: The Seed Of Creativity

Apple: The Seed Of CreativityHave you ever tried operating Photoshop on a PC operating system after learning the program on an Apple? The PC version of Photoshop is completely visualizing unappealing, difficult to navigate, and just plain boring. You open up Photoshop and it is hard to believe you are in the same program. It is like looking at a balloon right after someone let all the air out. Functions are put in the oddest of places, tools are hard to find, and the layout is completely upside down. That is the perfect way to describe the Windows operating system; completely upside down. Whenever I sit down in front of a PC I get completely stressed out.

Apple is all about ease of use and visual appeal. Navigation is simple, and everything is in the right place. Even my husband, an avid PC user, is able to use simple Photoshop tools on my Apple computers and he is a Photoshop foreigner to say the least.

Web Creation SoftwareHypertext Markup Language, or HTML, is a markup language used to create websites. While it is useful to have some familiarity with HTML coding when creating a website for your online business, you can still build a website without HTML know-how by using site creation software such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage. These applications have user-friendly ‘WYSIWYG’ interfaces that allow you to design the site visually so you can see how it is going to turn out before uploading it. You can also download free site creation applications, such as NVU, if you’re on a budget.

The first step in designing your website is deciding what content, such as text, titles and graphics, you want to appear on the web pages. Then make a sketch of the site on a piece of paper so you can see where the different elements will appear on the pages. Do you want two or three columns on your website? Where will you put the buttons? What about graphics? Are the different elements in balance? Once you have finalized the design, you can input the information into the site builder application’s interface to create the site.

Static Sites Are Dead, Baby

Static Sites Are DeadWhy You Must Convert to a Dynamic, RSS-enabled Publishing Platform RIGHT NOW

Things have changed a lot for web publishers since I wrote the first edition of Power Linking in 2002.  Back then there was only one option for publishing websites for the average, non-geek:  static html pages.

And with that option there were only a handful of really good ways to promote, namely, search engines and links.

Article syndication wasn't an option back then because there were no article directories nor software that webmasters could use to put syndicated content on their sites automatically.

First Look at Apple iPadComputers as we know them may soon be history. Apple innovative new iPad offers a completely new way to experience. Here is a first look review.

In this video (6min 59sec), take a look at the new iPad from Apple. After unboxing, you'll get a look at the apps that come installed by default and general impressions of the new device.

It's a little heavier than I thought, but not heavy enough to be and issue. It's very nice to use. It moves very well. I like how the touch screen feels, so far. I like how the apps look, so far.

It's very nice and thin. It'll fit in just about any briefcase, satchel, any thing you want without really taking up any space at all.

It feels like a solid device, definitely.
