Google Hates SpamSuccess in the world of internet marketing is based on many factors. It is no secret that search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the important components associated with boosting internet marketing potential. At the core of SEO work, link building is a major facet people must take part in. Unfortunately, many people venture beyond the realm of link building and make the unfortunate error of performing link spam.

Old Fashion Link Spam...

This is a horrible idea because here is a fact of SEO life: Google hates spam. Why Google hates spam is a relatively simple to understand. Link manipulation undermines all the prime and important components associated with link popularity. That means those sites that are truly popular are undermined as the field because very cloudy. Link spam causes confusion in the SEO realm and this is a major reason why Google hates spam.

Google has a track record for not wanting to reward sites and SEO strategists that are below board. One of the main reasons there is high quality content on many websites is because Google demanded it. Well, the company did not actually go out and demand anything. The company raised its standards in terms of how it will rank websites in its search engine.

Keeping Your Site Informative...

This is why people are nudged to make their websites as entertaining and informative as possible. Google smiles on such a site and this is why well produced and developed sites are ranked higher. And, quite honestly, why should Google not take the steps to make sure such well produced websites are placed higher in the rankings?

Another reason why Google frowns upon manipulation in SEO is that it undermines the accuracy of the rankings. When someone is able to procure a ton of link spam to raise the presence of a weak site above those sites which do possess legitimate link value, that individual is denied the ability to truly find those truly viable and excellent website.

Don't Force Google's Hand...

Imagine the following scenario: a debt consolidation service greatly helps provide quality help to people for years. Then, a less than helpful competitor launches in the marketplace and purchases 1,000 of links on a series of link farms. Now, the weak service is ranked above the website that is delivering a reliable service. Because of this, the people using the search engine will essentially be given inaccurate information regarding the top debt consolidation services due to the manipulation of the rankings in the engines. Upon looking at this particular example, it can be fairly obvious why Google hates spam.

For those looking to boost their website's ranking in the search engines, it is necessary to avoid policies that are in violation of what Google looks for in a positive website. Bucking Google in any manner does not serve any purpose other than to undermine your own search engine ranking procedures. Needless to say, such an approach would be a self-defeating one.

The reasons why Google hates spam make perfect sense when you put such reasons into their proper context. As such, it is advisable to avoid making the common errors others do that end up raising the ire of the search engine giant.
