| About Peter Walker's Video Work |
Cutting edge digital video production has the potential to bring emotion, information, and inspiration into the heart and mind of the viewer. The viewer is no longer limited by television. Our multimedia studio exports video through the web, live screenings, DVD's, VHS, and email. The level of emotional impact depends on the depth of the storyboard, the artistic vision of both the producer and client, the equipment, and the editing process.
Video Gear
For videography, Peter Walker is currently shooting with a Sony VX2000 camera complemented by a Samson Wireless Microphone with choice of using lavalier clips or full hand held microphones which are perfect for recording live music events. Using wireless microphones opens up a new range of shooting angles and distances only limited by one's imagination. . The Sony VX-2000 has excellent color and cheerful qualtiy in moderately low light. The slow shutter speeds, low noise and acceptable-looking color at even +18db gain, and a lens that is good at wide stops, the VX-2000 produces excellent-quality images, even in VERY low light levels.
The AM1Micro Series is perfect for all video applications requiring outstanding audio and RF performance. The AM1 features an audio out, a headphone out with level control for monitoring, a Mic/Line switch for optimized output, a Power Switch and a multi function LED displaying RF, Low Battery and Power.

Editing All professional digital video movie output often requires hundreds of edits - often with transitions such as cross-dissolve or fadein/fadeout. The power of Apple Final Cut 4 non-linear video editing, combined with Apple DVD StudioPro for the highest quality DVD production, Apple Compressor and Discreet Cleaner for fast streaming web distribution, combine to make moderately prices video movies on any topic.
StoryBoarding and Pre-Production
The best way to get an immediate handle on your video project is through the use of "storyboarding" Storyboarding allows us to create a unique series of frames to show the action and script that are envisioned for the final movie. This is much like drawing a comic-strip. For short, moderately priced web movies, storyboarding is a must. This is also true for most segments of longer more expensive DVD movies.
Teaching with Video
Videos, web clips, and DVD's have a very real application in the field of teaching and education. Today's high tech companies are beginning to use video for teaching their clients how to use their products. Even Masters Degree programs are now online. Students recieve web clips or DVD's from which they study the lecture or animated information. Here at Solar Eyes Productions and Taos Multi Media Studios, We can teach people how to properly prepare a horse for safe riding, how to install a solar system, and even inspire people to begin learning a new hobby. All via digital video. Creativity and imagination are the driving forces of this untapped resource.
Peter and Solar Eyes Productions are currently working on a Solar and Renewable Energy Documentary here in Northern New Mexico. This documentary will be submitted to the Governors Cup, sponsored by our very own, Bill Richardson. Governor Richardson supports the New Mexico Film Industry and the development of Solar Energy Systems.
